  3. Studies show when given to mice, cinnamon can improve learning potential and increase the ability to learn new skills.
  4. Some evidence shows cinnamon can speed up metabolism and increase energy, which can result in weight loss. Substituting cinnamon for sugar to add flavor can significantly reduce the number of calories.

  7. Rush University Medical Center fed Ceylon cinnamon to mice with Parkinson’s disease and found it helped to reverse the symptoms of the disease.
  8. The primary component of cinnamon, cinnamaldehyde, can reduce bacterial and fungal infections by inhibiting the bacteria. It is also known to reduce tooth decay and bad breath.
  9. Cinnamon contains anti-inflammatory properties that are effective in reducing the harmful side effects of inflammation.
